Her mother, an animator and teacher, and her father, a producer and creative, along with her artistically gifted siblings, provided a fertile ground for her own creative pursuits. Despite the ubiquity of artistic expression in her family, Fiona found a unique voice through drawing and painting, channels through which she loves to play and express her own individuality.
Fiona’s artistic expressions are vividly brought to life through her skilled use of lead and watercolour, mediums that allow for both precision and fluidity in her work.

the making of ‘I’ll be There’
Fiona’s most recent book, "I'll Be There," is a tender exploration of grief, crafted for her daughters as a way to keep their grandmother's memory alive. Inspired by her mother-in-law, who adored hedgehogs and passed away before meeting her grandchildren, Fiona chose to illustrate the story using these creatures to make the concept of presence after absence accessible to young minds.
Through her illustrations, she portrays everyday activities, infusing them with the essence of loved ones who, though gone, continue to influence our lives. This work not only serves as a bridge between generations but also as a beautiful testament to the enduring bonds of family.
